OUR MISSION STATEMENT
"Cortez Racing Association (CRA) will operate with a mission to promote local, regional and international Corinthian sailboat racing and to broaden participation in racing by offering interesting race events and social activities for a modest annual fee."

The CRA Board of Directors is working hard to follow the Mission Statement and keep
"a modest annual fee". We all know that everything costs more than it did not that long ago and CRA is feeling the pain of paying more to provide the same kind of racing we have all
come to enjoy and we want to be able to keep doing that.

For every race CRA provides an RC boat (take a moment to consider how much you spend to keep your boat ready for each race), fuel for that boat, food for the Race Committee, flags, pennants, shot gun shells, Cynthia Sinclair's outstanding photography (sometimes provided by sponsors but not all), and of course trophies (some are provided by sponsors but not all).
Additionally CRA presents the Beer Can Kick Off party and the Annual Meeting/Holiday Party with the Annual Awards.

There are those who contribute to CRA through volunteer work and/or volunteering to pay addition sums above their annual dues. We ask, if you are able, that you consider offering to support CRA a bit more than the annual dues.

By doing so you will encourage others to also contribute a bit more and CRA can continue to meet our Mission "interesting race events and social activities for a modest annual fee".

CRA is a 501(c)(3) organization which would classify amounts over your annual dues and regatta fees to be considered a charitable contribution for tax purposes. Please check with your tax professional.
